01Frequently asked

Do I ever hold my merchants' money?

No. Payments go from the payer straight to the merchant's address. In wallet pay your fee arrives in the same transaction; in exchange pay it is debited from credit the merchant prepaid to you. There are no balances, escrow or pooled wallets.

Does the server need a private key?

No. It stores no private key or seed and never builds, signs or submits a transaction. It only reads the chains through your RPC endpoints. The only key you ever use is a throwaway deployer key, once, on your own machine, if you deploy the Base router.

Do I need a licence to run this?

Possibly. Running a payment service can be regulated where you operate, even when it is non-custodial. Take legal advice before onboarding real merchants.

Which fee should I charge?

Your decision. A fresh install charges 0 until you set a default; the console refuses more than 1000 bps (10 %). See Setting up earnings.

Which chains and tokens are supported?

Solana: USDC and USDT on mainnet, USDC on devnet. Base: USDC on mainnet and Sepolia, once you deploy the router. Each chain is enabled by setting its RPC URL.

Can customers pay from an exchange?

Yes, with exchange pay: the checkout shows a unique amount and guidance for Binance, OKX and Bybit. It needs fee credit on the merchant's side.

Can I run several servers for scale?

No. One server process per database; horizontal scaling is not supported.

Is there a hosted version or a MIKODES cut?

No. You host everything; the fee settings ship empty and MIKODES receives nothing from your payments.

Can I translate the checkout?

English and Slovak ship. Another language means adding strings in apps/checkout/src/i18n/ and apps/portal/src/i18n/ and rebuilding; this has not been done and tested by MIKODES.

Can I refund a payment?

The merchant refunds from the portal, signing in its own wallet, or sends the customer a claim link. The operator never moves funds.

Is there a WooCommerce or Shopify plugin?

Not in this version. Shops integrate with the API (POST /v1/invoices) and signed webhooks, or use payment links and the website button.

Where do I ask for help?

See Support.
